I have to confess something about myself, I'm a Boise State fan, so obviously I'm not a fan of the BCS system, however, I do try to be as objective as I can. I recognize that without the BCS the way it is, Boise never gets a shot at their most significant victory over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. However, the time has come for a playoff. There is more parity in College Football than there has ever been and I can't see any good argument against at least an 8 team, tournament style playoff. The money would be there and the fans would be there too. Unfortunately for us, the powers that be in College Football aren't interested in finding a true champ, they just want to continue making money for their cartel and the schools that belong to it.

BCS mess
For my first football post, I've decided to rant a bit about the BCS. What a freakin' joke of a system. This season sure is throwing a wrench in all of the conventional arguments in favor of the BCS. The biggest one that drives me crazy is the argument that every game matters. If Alabama gets into the National Championship game (which it looks very likely that they will) then that argument is blown out of the water. First, Bama has already had their shot at the number one team and lost, they don't deserve another one. If the regular season mattered as much as BCS lovers would have us believe, then Bama shouldn't even be in the conversation. They are not going to even win their conference and they will still get in, it makes me sick!
Welcome to my blog
